The Lean Enterprise Academy is a non-profit academy based in the UK and is a core member of the Lean Global Network. Their website has a range of articles, a message/discussion board and general helpful information. There is also a range of valuable resources relating to Lean healthcare.
If you register with the Academy, you can sign up for free Lean community monthly e-letters from Daniel Jones. There are also interesting discussions of current issues in the Lean world.
The NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement in the UK have several articles and web pages dedicated to how Lean can help improve services in healthcare.
The Redesigning Care program at Flinders Medical Centre in South Australia has pioneered the application of Lean thinking to healthcare in Australia.
Superfactory is a comprehensive website for browsing information about Lean thinking.
The Lean Enterprise Institute is the US version of the UK Lean Enterprise Academy. You can also sign up for Jim Womack's monthly newsletter.
Lean Enterprise Australia's website has a range of useful information about local and international lean events and activities. You can also order a range of books through the website. The Australasian Lean Healthcare Network is a component of Lean EnterpriseAustralia.
The Bolton Improving Care System is part of Bolton Hospital which is a leading hospital in relation to the application of Lean thinking in hospital care in the UK.
