About us

 David Ben-Tovim Network Convenor

David Ben-Tovim,
Network Convener

The Australasian Lean Healthcare Network was formed in 2007 and is affiliated with Lean Enterprise Australia, a not-for-profit organisation devoted to the spread of knowledge and information about Lean Thinking and its applications.

The Australasian Lean Healthcare Network promotes the application of Lean Thinking to healthcare.

Products

The Network's main product will be knowledge about how Lean Thinking and other process redesign methods can be applied to healthcare. People who are interested in this will include healthcare practitioners, managers, politicians and the consumers of healthcare.

Many people learn best by direct contact and the Network will help put people in contact with others who are on the journey or who have relevant expertise.

The Network will be linked with the broader Lean Thinking community and with other lean healthcare networks as they emerge. As a not-for-profit organisation we are able to remain independent of government and flexible in our responses.

Any individual or group can register to receive updates on forthcoming activities.

Management

As part of our affiliation with Lean Enterprise, we have a Network management committee comprising David Ben-Tovim (Network Convener), Denise Bennett (Conference and Workshops Convener), Katherine McGrath and Tony O’Connell.

A specific network support group with representation from throughout Australia and New Zealand is also being developed.
